Gaagal Wanggaan (South Beach)

Artwork Story: It is recorded that in the early 1820’s a ship commanded by Surveyor-General John Oxley anchored off Gaagal Wanggaan (South Beach) and that a senior officer and boat crew entered the Nambucca River, thus recording early European contact with Gumbaynggirr people of the Nambucca River.
